First day in Tokyo Japan - Shibuya, Harajuku

Landed in Narita airport yayyyyy!♥♥♥. After walking around looking like lost lambs we finally got out routes figured out. Got the 3 day unlimited travel pass for the subway system. Should have paid more attn. Then we’d realize that we can only get those passes at the airport and that the pass works on all the lines (instead of just three like we originally thought). That would probably save us alot of trouble from having to figure out how much to pay for each ticket to our destination every time we take the subway lines.

The ride from the airport to Ningyocho was actually quite long, with lots of anticipation as to where we should be making our transfer. The transfer station was Aoto and on the map it was only the 4th or so stop fron Narita but apparently there were lots of other unwritten stops along the way. When the train finally arrived to Aoto, we only had to walk to the other side of the platform to take the train bound for Haneida airport. It sounds simple now that I’m writing about it but as we were doing this we had no idea whether or not we were doing the right thing.

After making our way to the hotel we ate at a “very good price” place just two doors down. We were just that hungry. The sets were within 500¥ but it was a little bit too salty for my liking.

Afterwards went to Shibuya checked out the crossing. The subway map looks really conplicated but we actually only had to take the Hibiya line and transfer once at the Ginza line.

Hung around for a bit then decided to walked to Harajuko for the Takeshita street. It seems clise but by no means was it really all that close. Reminded me of the time in Vegas where we walked to Rio. When we got there, we only saw a few people in wild Harajuku outfits so I was slightly dissappointed.

After walking around for a bit, we decided to go but then we had to go back to Shibuya. The subway lines were quite confusing this time around considering there were more lines running through this station. Got the jr line then tokyo line then finally got the right ginza line to come back to the hotel. Totally exhausted and just want to sleep by the time we got back to the hotel.

Forth day in Japan - Shibuya, Ikebukuro, Tawaramachi

Again today was the waking up w/out an alarm morning. I felt like my mind is awake but my body is really giving out on me. I could barelt find any energy to move even an inch. Want a massage so badly >.<

But… Can’t miss out on a day of Tokyo can we now? Then off we go to start the day with a re-visit of Shibuya since the first night was rather rushed and we didn’t exlore around as much as we had wanted to.

But before anything… Food must come first. We went into this random restaurant simply because the picture looks pretty decent (Kin no Kura) just across the big H&M. We thought that if the insides not good, we can always find something else. But restaurants here tends to be multiple tight floors so we ended up on the third floor (theres no way we can get out now -_-“).

The menu was one of this diy touch screen thing. We had a whole load of trouble ordering since the English menu was not very good. And the food that actually came was nothing much like the picture. Turns out, its bar food so they came in extremely small portions and totally not satisfying at all.

Continuing on was Don Quiote, the biggest one in Tokyo. Spent so long in there and got sooooo much snack! Especially pockey! Yum♥

Now the “snack” we had earlier wasnt exactly a meal so we decided to try out this ramen place. Again, we order through this machine and got our food coupon then we get the food. it was A LOT of ramen. A bit salty but it was still much more fulfilling than the other stuff.

Im so glad they have the Yamanote line that takes us from Shibuya to Ikebukuro, otherwise i’d be all fed up w transfers. Along.the way to Sunshine city, there were lots of those slot games places. Really…with the money you spend on to get that lil stuffed toy it would have been much easier to just buy one. Wow.. Im not really romantic or stuff like that .. -_-“

After that, I wanted to check out the onsen and relaxxxxxxx for a bit. I mean, I’m in Japan! Can’t miss out on that! So again, after goig through some alley ways and asking about 10 people for directions we finally got to the place… BUT IT WAS CLOSED FOR THE DAY! talk about bad timing! And by then it was pretty late for anything else so no choice but to call it a night

Third day in Tokyo - Shinjuku, Ginza, Roppongi

So the day starts at 12pm =). I know that we should make making the most out of our time while on vacation but i really dont like the “must wake up by 8 to start the day and do a million things. We decided to wake up naturally instead of waking to an alarm. That way, we will be well rested to go tackle the day of adventure!♥♥

Todays first stop is Shinjuku. We wanted to have tempura at the restaurant. TSUNAHACHI but we didnt have clear instructions on how to get there from the station so we had to do a bit of asking for directions and walking around…but ofc, with my amazing direction skills, we got to the right place. But since it IS for tempura.. It had a really strong oil smell and the menu was quite expensive for what was on the picture so we decided to leave that and find more affordable food. We ended up at Hachiro. It looks pretty ordinary from the outside but when we went through the door… Were like WHHOOOAAA. It has a dim setting and each table is in its own lil room. The first floor are straw hut designs. We went up o yhe fifth floor and the rooms were square. We ordered some set stuff and a skewer plater to share. Only when we got the actual skewer did we realize that we should have just ordered multiple chicken skewer instead… I mean.. We are in an asain country and who know what theyd serve you. Sighhhh…

Next stop… Shinjuku Garden. I was thinking it would be a bunch of branches and twigs. Its not like i was that far off.. But surprisingly there were still some flowers and greens around! but even so… It wasnt all that inyeresting. After the garden closed… We walked around the area a bit more theb just figure we should visit Ginza… The unaffordable district. SO EXPENSIVE! So ofc that didnt take too long. But we did have a pretty good dinner (for cheap).

Lastly, we wanted to end the night with Tokyos best cake…in Roppongi. But after getting alll the way there going through mountains and river and volcano and everything else… We discovered that the shop closed at 9…. We got there at 9:49. but since were already in that area… Might as well do a bit of exploring. And thats how we ended up in the sketchy bar/club area w lots and lots of foreigners (mostly black dudes… -_-“) scarrrrry

sooooo needless to say.. We didnt stay long and ended up not having dessert =(
